--> man at door with roses
DONE BY~!!! afiq and chihpeng(:
The scene starts with the words "After the fiasco-" as Tom stands on the fire escape landing and addresses the audience. He explains that amanda is desperate on getting a gentleman caller for laura . Then, amanda enters the scene with a phone... She makes a cheerful, elaborate, unsuccessful sales pitch to an acquaintance on the telephone. Then the lights dim out..
When the stage is lighted, Tom and amanda's voices could be heard, they were arguing as Amanda had returned the novels by mr lawrence to the library and did not give him privacy.
Tom wants to end the argument by paying rent and he even tried to leave the house. However, amanda insists on not ending the argument. She attributes his surly attitude to the fact that he spends every night out—doing something shameful, in her opinion—though he insists that he spends his nights at the movies. Amanda asserts that, by coming home late and depriving himself of sleep, he is endangering his job and, therefore, the family’s security.
Tom also exclaimed that he envy's the dead...as he hears the same old thing each morning.(Rise and shine)
He then walks to the door, amanda asked where he was going, and when he said he was going to the movies, she didnt believe him..
He hurls his coat as he cant put them on, and hits laura's glass menageries...
